Abstract: A method for controlling coniferous plants, wherein an effective amount of a) at least one phenyluracil of the formula I wherein the variables R 1 to R 7 are as defined in the specification; and optionally b) at least one herbicide B selected from groups B1 to B6 as defined in the specification, and/or at least one of the agriculturally acceptable salts of herbicide B or their agriculturally acceptable derivatives, provided they have a carboxyl group, is applied to coniferous plants to be controlled and/or to the parts of these plants, is described.
