Abstract: o-Aminomethylphenols of the formula I where R1, R3 and R4 are hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, alkyl, alkoxy or dimethylamino, R2 is hydrogen, chlorine, bromine, alkyl, alkenyl, alkoxyalkyl, cyclohexyl or phenyl, or R1 and R2, R2 and R3 or R3 and R4 form a carbocyclic, saturated or unsaturated five-membered or six-membered ring, and R is alkyl, and salts thereof, and fungicides containing these compounds.
