Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a relatively bright dyed material fast to light and heat by dyeing a polyamide substrate with a dye suitable for dyeing the polyamide substrate and a copper complex of an organic N-nitrosohydroxylamine. CONSTITUTION: Polyamide fibers are dyed in a dye bath containing a dye suitable for dyeing a polyamide substrate (e.g. nylon 6 or nylon 6, 6) and a copper complex of an organic N-nitrosohydroxylamine according to a conventional method. Since a dyed material extremely fast even to exposure to light and simultaneously heat is obtained by using the copper complex together, the dyed material is suitable as fabrics for seats and interior trims of automobiles. An azo dye, etc. containing chromium, etc. or a disperse dye, etc. containing a metal complex can be exemplified as the preferred dye.
