    Abstract: The invention relates to the use of radically polymerised polymers that are crosslinkable by means of UV-light and consists of at least 50 wt. % C2 to C18 alkyl(meth)acrylates and are used as an adhesive for gluing together carriers on substrates, whereby said carriers are coated with the polymers. Said polymers are built-up by monomers. The invention is characterised in that 0.1 to 30 wt. % of said monomers are monomers A without carboxylic acid- or carboxylic acid anhydride groups and with a water solubility greater than 5 g monomers per litre of water. The substrates are humid, especially frozen substrates.

    Abstract: A polymer mixture containing (A) at least 40 wt.% of 1-18C alkyl(meth)acrylates (in brief polyacrylates) and (B) a polyvinylalkylether homo- or copolymer (in brief polyvinylalkylether) having at least 70 wt.% structural units of defined structure is new. A mixture containing (A) at least 40 wt.% of 1-18C alkyl(meth)acrylates (short polyacrylates) and (B) a polyvinylalkylether homo- or copolymer (short polyvinylalkylether) having at least 70 wt.% structural units of formula (I) . -CH2-CH-X-O-R (I) X = a single bond or 1-3C alkylene; R = 1-6C alkyl. Independent claims are included for: (1) Preparation of the mixture by preparation of a polyacrylate by solution polymerization with addition of polyvinylalkylethers (PVAE) followed by evaporating off the solvent; (2) preparation of self-adhesive articles with the above mixture by application to substrates, e.g. labels, bands or large surface films, and crosslinked by UV radiation; and (3) Self-adhesive articles obtained as in (I) above.
