Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a thermoplastic molding material containing a polyarylene ether and a polyarylene sulfide and avoiding defects of the known molding materials. SOLUTION: This molding material comprises components A to D based on the total weight of the components A to D and E if present, which provides a total amount of 100 wt.%. (a) 5-94 wt.% at least one polyarylene ether as the component A, (b) 4-93 wt.% at least one polyarylene sulfide as the component B, (c) 1-20 wt.% at least one polyarylene ether containing carboxyl groups as the component C, (d) 1-20 wt.% at least one impact-resistant modified rubber having functional groups capable of reacting with the carboxyl groups as the component D and (e) 0-50 wt.% other additives as the component E.
