Abstract: Crude oil deemulsifiers based on alkoxylated polyethyleneimines are obtained by reacting polyethyleneimine having a molecular weight from 2500 to 35,000 with in each case 5 to 40 mol of propylene oxide and ethylene oxide per ethyleneimine unit in the polyethyleneimine and are used for deemulsifying crude oil emulsions at 10 DEG C to 130 DEG C.
