Abstract: Catalizador que contiene en su masa activa un 0, 05 a un 1, 0% en peso de al menos un metal o un compuesto de un metal del décimo grupo del Sistema Periódico de los Elementos, y un 0, 05 a un 1, 0% en peso de al menos un metal o un compuesto de un metal del grupo 11 del Sistema Periódico de los Elementos, ascendiendo la proporción ponderal del metal contenido del grupo 11 respecto al metal contenido del grupo 10 a un 0, 95 hasta un 1, 05, y como soporte un soporte de catalizador que contiene dióxido de silicio con una superficie BET entre 2 y 400 m2/g, y presentándose al menos un 20% del volumen de poros total del catalizador en poros con un diámetro por encima de 100 nanómetros.

Abstract: Catalyst contains 0.05-1.0 wt.% of a group 10 metal (compound) and 0.05-1.0 wt.% of a group 11 metal (compound). The weight ratio of the group 11 metal to the group 10 metal is 0.95-1.05. The catalyst is supported on a silicon dioxide support having a BET surface area of 2-400 m /g. At least 20% of the total pore volume of the catalyst is present in pores having a diameter above 100 nanometers An Independent claim is also included for a process for removing alkynes, dienes and simple unsaturated hydrocarbons and/or oxygen from material streams by reacting the material stream with hydrogen over a catalyst containing 0.05-1.0 wt.% of a group 10 metal (compound) and 0.05-1.0 wt.% of a group 11 metal (compound).
