Also claimed are: (i) lubricant compsns. contg. 0.5-15 wt.% carboxylic acid esters of formula (I); (ii) fuel compsns. contg. 10-5000 ppm of carboxylic acid esters of formula (I); and (iii) prodn. of (I).
