Novel 6-aminophenyl-3-pyridazones of the Formula I wherein X is a hydrogen or halogen atom or an alkyl or alkoxy group and each of R 1 and R 2 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, any alkyl groups in the substituents being optionally substituted by halogen atoms or hydroxyl groups, are obtained by dehydrogenating the corresponding 6 - aminophenyl - 4,5 - dihydro - 3- pyridazones, in which the radical R 1 may additionally represent an aliphatic or aromatic acyl group, using aromatic nitrosulphonic acids or salts thereof as dehydrogenating agents, the molar ratio of pyridazone to nitrosulphonic derivative being up to 1 : 0À5 per nitro group in the latter.

    Abstract: Excellent mechanical properties (hardners, scratch resistance, elasticity, adherence to metal) corrosion resistance and compatibility with pigments are obtained in coatings prepared by depositing on an electrical conductor compositions containing a soluble or dispersible condensation product, present at least partly as a water-soluble carboxylic-acid salt and based on (a) 40-75% wt. polyfunctional aminoalcohol with tertiary N atoms, optionally containing epoxy groups; (b) 10-30% wt. of at least one 7-24C mono-COOH acid and at least one addition product, polycondensate or polymer with at least 2COOH; (c) 5-40% wt. phenoplast or aminoplast resin optionally etherified with an alcohol.

    Abstract: 1299483 Halobenzoyl propionic acid derivatives BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODA-FABRIK AG 8 May 1970 [10 May 1969] 22278/70 Heading C2C The invention comprises halobenzoyl propionic acid esters of formula: in which X is a halogen and R is an aliphatic C 1-10 hydrocarbon radical optionally substituted by halogen, hydroxyl or alkoxy. They may be prepared by reacting a halobenzoyl proprionic acid with the appropriate alcohols in the presence of a mineral acid. p-Bromobenzoyl propionic. acid used as a starting material is prepared by reacting bromobenzene with saccinic acid in the presence of anhydrous aluminium chloride. The halobenzoyl propionic acid esters may be used as insect repellents in the form of solutions, emulsions, suspensions or dusts.
