Abstract: In the present invention, there is described a process for preparing (2-chloroethyl)-ammonium chloride by reacting 1,2-dichloroethane with trimethyl amine. Which preparation process comprises mixing the 1,2-dichloroethane with the trimethyl amine at a temperature ranging from 50 to 100 degC and then increasing stepwise or continuously the temperature to 120 to 200 degC.
