Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a perylene derivative as a pigment dispersant and provide a pigment preparation overcoming the conventional technical standard in color, rheology and general purpose applicability. SOLUTION: The pigment preparation contains the perylene derivative expressed by general formula (I) as the pigment dispersant. In general formula (I), A expresses O, CH 2 , or NR 1 (R 1 expresses H, an aryl, an alkyl or the like); Y expresses CO 2 , CONR 2 , SO 2 NR 2 (R 2 expresses H, an arylalkyl, or the like) or the like; X expresses a sterically stabilized and/or statically stabilized substituent; Z expresses an alkyl, a halogen or the like; n expresses an integer of ≥1; m expresses an integer of ≥0. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide dispersing binders for use in color formulations and recording fluids. SOLUTION: The dispersing binders are obtained by mixing hyperbranched polyurethanes or modified hyperbranched polyurethanes with melamine derivatives. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
Abstract:
The invention relates to the use of polyurethanes having hyperbranched structures, selected from hyperbranched polyurethanes with at least one group that has an affinity to pigments and modified hyperbranched polyurethanes, as polymer dispersants for pigments. The invention is preferably further characterized in that a hyperbranched polyurethane having 2 to 100 NCO groups and a molecular weight of 500 to 50.000 g is reacted with one or more polyether derivatives.
Abstract:

Abstract:
Aqueous pretreatment liquor for preparing a textile substrate for inkjet printing, comprising (A) one or more polycationic compounds, (B) one or more thickeners, (C) optionally customary additives, (C) water. Preferred polycationic compounds (A) are polymers or copolymers of diallyldialkylammonium monomers. Preferred thickeners are obtainable from (i) polyetherdiols, (ii) diisocyanates and (iii) compounds, R of the general formula R-OH, R-SH, R-NH 2 , RR NH or R-COOH, where R is a hydrophobic aliphatic or aromatic radical of at least 4 carbon atoms and R-OH may have been alkoxylated, and also further derivatives thereof that are capable of forming a urethane, thiourethane or urea bond, or from (i) polyetherdiols with (iv) compounds of the general formula R-OH or R-COOH, where R is a hydrophobic aliphatic or aromatic radical of at least 4 carbon atoms and R-OH may have been alkoxylated, and also further derivatives thereof that are capable of forming an ether or ester bond, and or from compounds (ii) and (iii).
Abstract:
Recording liquids contain polyurethane with hyper-branched structures, selected from optionally modified hyper-branched polyurethanes (A). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) dispersing binders (B) obtained by mixing (A) with melamine derivative(s) (C); (2) production of (B); (3) production of recording liquids by mixing (A) with water, finely-divided (in)organic colorant(s) (D), optionally (C) and optionally additives; (4) color formulations containing (B), water and (D); (5) production of the color formulations by mixing (B), water and (D); (6) production of recording liquids by mixing (B) with water and (D) and optionally additives or diluting the color formulation with water; and (7) flat and 3-dimensional substrates printed with the recording liquid by ink-jet printing.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a dispersant obtainable by reacting(i) a di- or polyfunctional isocyanate with(ii) an HX-terminated polymeric compound, where X is COO, O, S or NR and R is H or C1-C6-alkyl; and either(iii) an HY-terminated homopolymer of a monomer selected from the group consisting of N-vinylamides, N-vinyllactams and vinyl- or allyl-substituted nitrogenous heterocycles or copolymer of one or more of the monomers mentioned and optionally further monomers, where Y is COO, O, S or NR and R is H or C1-C6-alkyl; or(iv) an HY-functional organic phosphonic ester, where Y is as defined above. The dispersant is especially useful for dispersing pigments and for preparing inkjet inks.
