Abstract: Preparation of polyurethanes by reaction of a polyol component (A) with a polyisocyanate prepolymer (B) where the polyol component comprises: (A1) polyetherol of OH number 10-100; (A2) a crosslinking polyetherol of OH number 500-1000; (A3) a chain lengthening agent based on amines and the polyisocyanate prepolymer, (B) obtained by reaction of (B1) a polyisocyanate with (B2) a poly-tetrahydrofuran. A process for preparation of polyurethanes by reaction of a polyol component (A) with a polyisocyanate prepolymer (B) where the polyol component comprises: (A1) polyetherol of OH number 10-100; (A2) a crosslinking polyetherol of OH number 500-1000; (A3) a chain lengthening agent based on amines and the polyisocyanate prepolymer, (B) obtained by reaction of (B1) a polyisocyanate with (B2) a poly-tetrahydrofuran. Independent claims are included for: (1) a polyurethane obtained as above; and (2) automobile external parts containing polyurethane as above.

Abstract: The hard polyurethane foam is prepared by reaction of (a) at least one polyisocyanate with (b) at least one compound having at least two H atoms reactive to isocyanate groups in a closed mold, where polyisocyanate (a) is a polyisocyanate mixture (a1) containing (wt.%): a mixture of diphenylmethane diisocyanate (I) and polymethylenepolyphenylene polyisocyanate (II) of NCO content 30-32,a two-core isomer content of 46-49, a content of 3-core isomers of 22-25, a content of 4-core isomers of 6-8, and an isomer distribution of the 2-core content of 41-45 of the 4,4- and 4,4'- isomers and 2-5 of the 2,4- and 2,4'- isomers, relative to the mixture of I and II.

Abstract: Isocyanate-reactive compounds with a content of less than 1 wt% oxyethylene units (I) are used in a method for the production of seals based on polyisocyanate-polyaddition products by reacting isocyanates with (I) and optionally blowing agents, catalysts, auxiliary substances and/or additives. Independent claims are also included for seals and all-round seals for windscreens, obtained by this method.
