Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain stable, hot water-insoluble dry powder contg. fat-soluble vitamin and/or carotenoid embedded in the gelatin-base matrix. CONSTITUTION: An aq. dispersion contg. fat-soluble vitamin and/or carotenoid, reducing sugar and gelatin by 20-35 wt.% of the amt. of the resultant dry product in combination with an org. amino compd. or such an amt. of a basic alkali metallic or alkaline earth metallic compd. as to adjust the dispersion to pH 7.5-10 is prepd. and processed to produce dry powdery vitamin and/or carotenoid pharmaceuticals. This powder is then heat-cured at 60-180 deg.C.
