Abstract: A process for preparing linear, alternating carbon monoxide copolymers, in which at least one olefinically unsaturated compound having from two to twenty carbon atoms (component K1) and carbon monoxide are copolymerized in the presence ofa) metal complexes,b) if desired, a protonic or Lewis acid, andc) if desired, a hydroxyl compound,comprises metering into the copolymerization, as it proceeds, at least one olefinically unsaturated compound having from two to twenty carbon atoms (component K2<>component K1) in the form of pulses, i.e. as a regular or irregular sequence of feed, for which the term pulse is used, and non-feed.Carbon monoxide copolymers obtainable from said process are used for producing fibers, films or moldings, and the fibers, films and moldings produced from these polymers are described.

Abstract: A process for the production of linear, alternating carbon monoxide copolymers (I) comprises copolymerization of a 2-20C olefinically unsaturated compound (II) and carbon monoxide in the presence of a metal complex of formula whereby a further 2-20C olefinically unsaturated compound that is different to the first compound is added during the reaction in at least two separate doses. A process for the production of linear, alternating carbon monoxide copolymers (I) comprises copolymerization of a 2-20C olefinically unsaturated compound (II) and carbon monoxide in the presence of: (A) a metal complex of formula (1); (B) optionally a protonic or Lewis acid; and (C) optionally a hydroxy compound whereby a further 2-20C olefinically unsaturated compound (III) that is different to the compound (II) is added during the reaction in at least two separate doses. Independent claims are included for: (i) the resulting carbon monoxide copolymer (I); (ii) fiber , film or molded articles containing the copolymer (I). G = 5-7 membered carbocyclic ring, optionally containing heteroatoms; -(CRb2)r-, -(CRb2)s-Si(Ra)2-(CRb2)t, -A-O-B- or -A-Z(R )-B-; R = H, 1-28C alkyl, 3-14C cycloalkyl, 6-15C aryl or alkylaryl having 1-20C alkyl and 6-15C aryl, -N(Rb)2 or -S(Ra)3, optionally substituted; A, B = (CRb2)t-, -(CRb2)s-Si(Ra)2-(CRb2)t, -N(Rb)-, a r'-, S- or t- atom containing component of a ring system or together with Z forms a (r'+1)-, (s+1)- or (t+1)- atoms containing component of a heterocycle; Rn = 1-20C alkyl, 3-10C cycloalkyl, 6-15C aryl or alkylaryl having 1-10C alkyl and 6-15C aryl, optionally substituted; RbRa = H or Si(Ra)3; r = 1-4; r' = 1 or 2; s,t = 0-2; s+t = 1-3; Z = a Group 14 element; M = a Group 8-12 element; R -R = 1-28C alkyl, 3-14C cycloalkyl, 6-15C aryl or alkylaryl with 1-28C alkyl and 6-15C aryl, optionally substituted; L , L = neutral or charged ligand; X = mono- or multivalent anion; m, n, p = 0-3; p = m \* n

Polymer mixture comprises carbon monoxide/ alpha -olefin copolymers (A) and copolymers (B) of vinyl aromatic compounds and vinyl cyanides. Independent claims are included for: (i) the preparation of the above polymer mixture by mixing the components at 150-270 deg C; and for (ii) molded articles, fibers, films and coatings prepared from the mixture.

Abstract: Procedimiento para la obtención de copolímeros de monóxido de carbono, alternantes, lineales, en el cual se copolimerizan, al menos, un compuesto olefínicamente insaturado, con dos hasta veinte átomos de carbono (componente K1), y monóxido de carbono en presencia de a) complejos metálicos de la **fórmula** en la que los substituyentes y los índices tienen el significado siguiente: G significa un sistema anular carbocíclico con 5, 6 o 7 átomos sin o con uno o varios heteroátomos, -(CRb2)r-, -(CRb2)s-Si(Ra)2- (CRb2)t-, -A-O-B- o -A-Z-(R5)-B- con R5 significa hidrógeno, alquilo con 1 hasta 28 átomos de carbono, cicloalquilo con 3 hasta 14 átomos de carbono, arilo con 6 hasta 15 átomos de carbono o alquilarilo con 1 hasta 20 átomos de carbono con restos alquilo con 6 hasta 15 átomos de carbono en el resto arilo, -N(Rb)2 o -Si(Ra)3-, donde los restos citados también pueden estar substituidos, A, Bsignifican -(CRb2)r-, -(CRb2)s-Si(Ra)2-(CRb2)t-, -N(Rb)2, un componente r¿, s o t-atómico de un sistema anular o junto con Z significan un componente (r¿+1)-, (s+1)- o (t+1)-atómico de un heterociclo, Ra significan, independientemente entre sí, alquilo con 1 hasta 20 átomos de carbono, cicloalquilo con 3 hasta 10 átomos de carbono, arilo con 6 hasta 15 átomos de carbono o alquilarilo con 1 hasta 10 átomos de carbono en la parte alquilo y 6 hasta 15 átomos de carbono en la parte arilo, pudiendo estar substituidos también los restos citados, Rb significa igual que Ra, y además significa hidrógeno o Si(Ra)3.
