Abstract: The process applies components in the form of lines or dots, whereby the number and position of lines or dots can be altered. The installation to carry out this process includes a conveying device (3) for the substrate and at least one coating portal to which are attached supply leads for the components. The coating portal has an application device for each component and the application device has closable nozzles (4) , which can be opened and closed through rotation using a rotary valve nozzle system (5) .
