Abstract: 1. A process for the production of moldings from fiber-reinforced laminates, by bonding two or more layers of identical or different thermoplastics via one or more middle layers of fibrous substances, the layers being heated outside a mold to temperatures up to the softening point of the thermoplastics and being shaped, and caused to adhere to one another, in the mold, wherein the layers are prepared to correspond to the contour of the molding to be produced, are heated individually, are brought together and are pressed together, in the mold, in such a way that the thermoplastics penetrate, at least partially, through the middle layer consisting of fibrous substances.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for calibrating thermoplastic pipes or profiles emerging from an extruder, having a closed calibrating chamber 3, possibly placed under a vacuum, and a calibrating tool 5 arranged in a coolant bath 4 within the calibrating chamber. The calibrating tool 5 consists of a cylindrical or frustoconical helical spring, the end windings 11 and 12 of which are connected both positively and non-positively to the end flanges 6 and 7 closing off the coolant bath and calibrating chamber respectively. In order to modify the diameter of the calibrating tool 5, at least one end flange 7 can be rotated in an infinitely variable manner.

Abstract: The composite profile, in particular for windows, doors and facades consists of at least two partial profiles (1) and (2) which have grooves, bores or the like on their parts in contact with one another. A connecting element (3,4,5,6) made of thermoplastics, preferably polyamides filled with aluminium powder or aluminium needles, is inserted in each case in the grooves or bores. Plastic deformation of the connecting elements made of cold-rolled wires or profiles results in a shear-resistant connection of the partial profiles.
