Abstract: The invention comprises dyes of the formula:- where R is phenyl, which may be substituted by one or two chlorine atoms, a methyl group, or a methoxy group. They are made by condensing 2 mols of 1.4-diamino - 2 - acetyl - anthraquinone with 1 mol of a 2 - phenyl - 4.6 - dichlor - 1.3.5 - triazine which may contain in the phenyl radical one or two chlorine atoms, a methyl group or a methoxy group. The products dye natural and regenerated cellulose and nylon blue shades. In examples, 2 mols of 1.4 - diamino - 2 - acetyl anthraquinone are condensed in nitrobenzene with 1 mol of 2-phenyl - 4.6 - dichlor - 1.3.5 - triazine or its 41-chlor, 31-methyl, 41-methyl, 21, 31 or 41-methoxy, or 21.41 - dichlor - derivatives.
