Abstract: A method for the production of homo- or co-polymers from styrene monomers and/or diene monomers by anionic polymerisation, involves stopping the polymerisation by adding a mixture (Z) containing chain cleavage agent(s) (K) and emulsifier(s) (E). Independent claims are also included for: (1) a mixture (Z) as defined above for stopping the anionic polymerisation of styrene and/or diene monomers; (2) homo- and/or co-polymers of styrene and diene monomers obtained by this method; and (3) molded products, film, fibres and foam made from these homo- or co-polymers.
