Abstract: The chute (4) supplying material for incineration and the burner (1) are located at one end face (2) of the kiln (3). They are so directed that the projection of the burner axis, meets the wall of the kiln cylinder, beyond the material supplied for incineration. An Independent claim is included for the method of complete incineration of materials, in which they are so introduced into the rotary kiln that a double-sided boundary layer is formed between the vaporized materials and the oxygen-containing gas.
