Abstract: Styrene-based polymer with good heat resistance includes a matrix of atactic styrene polymer. Polymer comprises: (A) crystalline syndiotactic styrene polymer in the form of nanoparticles; and (B) a matrix of atactic styrene polymer. Independent claims are included for the preparation of the above polymer by mixing the components at 170-260 deg C and by dispersing (A) in styrene monomers and polymerizing at 110-250 deg C and fibers, films and molded articles made from the polymer.
