Abstract: The mounting accommodates an endoscope or firbroscope in a pressure vessel, the endoscope being inserted, slid and turned in a pressure and guide pipe inside the vessel, preferably by a flanged coupling. From the inner distal observation end of the endoscope there extends outwards between the endoscope shank (1) and the pressure pipe (2) enclosing it a passage (K) indicating leakage and connected to a radial drilling outwards in the pressure pipe. Between the outside of the latter and the guide pipe (3) enclosing it is a calibrated flushing gap (Sp) for the introduction of a flushing agent before the observation opening (1a) with window (2b) at the distal end. By movement of the pressure pipe in relation to the guide pipe both passage and gap are shut off.
