Abstract: Complexes comprise bisdiazocyanidenes of formula (I) and cpds. of formula (II) where R1-R4 are independently H, methyl, ethyl, methoxy, ethoxy, Cl, Br or I, or one of R1 and R2 and/or one of R3 or R4 = phenyl or tert. butyl, or R1 and R2 and/or R3 and R4 are together gps. of formula (III) or (IV) where the aromatic rings are opt. substd. by one or 2 cl, Br and/or methyl, R5-R8 are independently H, methyl, ethyl, phenyl, methyphenyl or methoxyphenyl or R5 and R6 and/or R7 and R8 together are gps. of formula (III), (IV), (V), (VI), (VII) or (VIII) and X and Y are independently S or Se. The ratios of bisdiazocyanide (I) to tetrathiafulvalene (II) is pref. 2:1-1:2 mol. Pref. one of R1-R4 is not H, and pref. R1-R4 = H, methyl, Cl or methoxy. USE/ADVANTAGE - Useful in semi-or photoconductor exhibiting enhanced electrical conductivity.
