Abstract: The sandwich board consists of a core layer of polypropylene particle foam with a density of 0.02-0.10 g/cu. cm and two cover layer of glass mat reinforced polypropylene, with a fibre content of 20-60 weight per cent. The core layer is 5-100 mm thick and the cover layers are 1-10 mm thick. The material of the core layer is a propylene copolymer with a melting point preferably between 130 and 150 deg C. The cover layers contain 20-60, preferably 30-45 weight per cent of glass fibre in the form of mats. The glass fibres can be of any length from 2 mm upwards.
