Abstract: PURPOSE: To facilitate recycling by specifying a material component of a constitutive member in a bumper system which is filled with an energy-absorbing foamed core into a space comprising a bumper support and a deformable tough bumper shell. CONSTITUTION: In this bumper system, an energy-absorbing foamed core 2 is filled into a space comprising a bumper support 1 and a deformable tough bumper shell 3. The bumper support 1 is formed out of a glass fiber reinforced polypropylene containing a continuous fiber oriented unidirctionally at least partially, of which the glass fiber content is at least 30 wt.%. The foamed core 2 is formed out of a foamed polypropylene having 30-150 g/l of density. The bumper shell 3 formed out of polypropylene containing 25-65 wt.% of ethylene/propylene rubber, and a lacquer is applied to its surface when necessary.
