PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new benzoyl derivative capable of exterminating weeds without damaging raised plants. SOLUTION: This new compound is shown by formula I [L and M are each H, a 1-6C alkyl, 2-6C alkenyl, 2-6C alkynyl or the like; Y is C=O, C=N-R3 (R3 is H, a 1-6C alkyl or the like or the like; X is CR12R13, NR23 (R12 and R13 are each H, a 1-6C alkyl or the like; R23 is H, a 1-6C alkyl or the like) or the like; Q is a group of formula II (R15, R16, R18 and R20 are each H or a 1-4C alkyl; R19 is H, a 1-4C alkyl or the like; R17 is H, a 3-4C cycloalkyl or the like) or the like; (n) is 0-2], e.g. 2-(8-methyl-4-ethoxy-1,1-dioxothiochroman-7- carbonyl)-cyclohexane-1,3-dione.
