Abstract: A polyolefin is stabilized with a hydrocarbonsubstituted 3,8-dihydroxy-4b,9b-dihydrobenzofuro-[3,2b]-benzofurane, in particular 1,2,4,6,7,9-hexamethyl - 3,8 - dihydroxy - 4b, 9b - dihydrobenzofuro - [3,2b] - benzofurane or 4,9 - dimethyl - 1,2: 6,7 - bis(tetramethylene) - 3,8-dihydroxy - 4b, 9b - dihydrobenzofuro - [3,2b]-benzofurane. Optional ingredients are carbon black, dilauryl thiodipropionate, thiodi(butyric ethylhexyl ester), pentaerythritol, sorbitol, tartaric acid, citric acid and ascorbic acid.
