Abstract: Process for the recovery of caprolactam from polycaprolactam by hydrolytic cleavage of polycaprolactam with 5 to 50 parts by weight of water per part by weight of polycaprolactam at a temperature from 200 to 350 DEG C at elevated pressure with the production of an aqueous solution or suspension which contains monomeric caprolactam, its oligomer and optionally polycaprolactam and subsequent removal of monomeric caprolactam from the aqueous solution or suspension by distillation or extraction, the hydrolytic cleavage being carried out at a pH from 5 to 10 with the additional use of alkali metal hydroxide.

Abstract: Triphendioxazine dyes suitable for dyeing or printing hydroxyl- or amido-containing substrates have the formula where n is 0 or 1, m is 1 or 2, R1 and R2 are each independently of the other hydrogen, chlorine, bromine, hydroxysulfonyl, C1-C4-alkyl, C1-C4-alkoxy, substituted or unsubstituted phenyl or substituted or unsubstituted phenoxy, R3 is halogen, carboxyl, C1-C4-alkyl, C1-C4-alkoxy, vinylsulfonyl or the radical -SO2-CH2CH2-Z, where Z is a leaving group, and Q1 and Q2 are each independently of the other a radical of the formula where R4 and R5 are each independently of the other hydrogen, C1-C4-alkyl or phenyl, R6 is hydrogen or a fiber-reactive radical, L1 and L2 are each independently of the other substituted or unsubstituted C2-C8-alkylene or phenylene, X is a chemical bond, oxygen, sulfur, imino, C1-C4-alkylimino, carbonyl or methylene, and Y is oxygen or sulfur, with the proviso that if n is 0, R6 is a fiber-reactive radical, and that the hydroxysulfonyl groups are each ortho to the substituents Q1 and Q2.
