    Abstract: The invention relates to composite elements which have the following layer structure: (i) 2 - 20 mm metal, plastic or wood, (ii) 10 - 300 mm polyisocyanate polyaddition products, (iii) 2 - 20 mm metal, plastic or wood, whereby layer (ii) contains prefabricated polyisocyanate polyaddition products (x), which are connected to layers (i) and (iii) in an adhesive manner by polyisocyanate polyaddition products (xx). The polyisocyanate polyaddition products (x) are pieces having a volume of between 4 cm and 1000 cm .
