Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the continuous extraction of lactic acid from an aqueous suspension containing solids. According to said method, the aqueous suspension containing solids is brought into contact, in a counter-current, with an organic solvent that is partially miscible with water, in a column provided with filling agents which have a surface consisting of hydrophobic material, in such a way as to form an aqueous phase and an organic phase, such that the organic phase is guided as a dispersed phase in a section of the column comprising filling agents.

Abstract: The flushing pumping circuit (2,17 for conveyor units (1) for reaction mixtures contains an integrated heat exchanger and at least two conveyor units, through which the reaction mixture can flow in two directions. The two conveyor units have an inner flushing circuit (21) acting in a cooling capacity and an outer flushing circuit (28), which, viewed in the outflow direction, issue behind a closure body (16) in the pressure conduit (17). In the inner flushing circuit are contained a throughflow meter (20) and at least one stirring section (32) for the reaction mixture. Likewise, the outer flushing circuit (28) contains a throughflow meter (27) and at least one stirring section (33). Also in the outer flushing circuit is a diaphragm (25) and a regulating valve for adjustment of the throughflow quantity.
