Abstract: Graft prods. from polyethers and maleic anhydride or derivs., of formula (I) and salts with metal or NH4 cations are claimed. In (I) R , R = OH, amino, 1-20C monoalkylamino, 6-10C monoarylamino, 7-12C monoaralkylamino or monoalkylarylamino gp., or together form an oxa, imino, 1-20C N-alkylimino, 6-10C N-arylimino or 7-12C N-aralkylimino or N-alkylarylimino bridge, where the amino or imino bridges may be substd. with 1-2 OH, amino, 1-4C monoalkylamino, 2-8C dialkylamino, carboxylate, 1-10C alkoxy, 6-10C aryloxy, 7-12C aralkyloxy or alkylaryloxy, vinyloxy and/or halogen substits.; Y = H or 1-20C alkyl or acyl; n = 1-5; m = 0-99; m+x = 3-100; x/m+x = 0.01-1; and the number of units of formula (i) corresp. to the value of m and x is distributed statistically over (I) and the value of n may vary in the single units of (I).
