Abstract: A process for the production of hollow polymer particles with an average diameter of more than 1 micron involves pressurising an essentially organic solvent-free, aqueous polymer dispersion to more than 1 bar with a gas which is soluble in the dispersion and then depressurising the mixture. An Independent claim is also included for hollow particles obtained by this process.
