Abstract: A method of blow-moulding a hollow thermoplastics object utilises a hollow shaft to introduce the inflating and cooling fluid into the blow-moulding; the hollow shaft conducts the fluid into the blowing mandrel, this mandrel being rotated, esp. at an angular speed of 250-25,000 min-1. Esp. when blow-moulding large objects, the rotation leads to a considerable increase in the heat transfer coefficient. Thus the cooling of the blow-moulding is facilitated.
