Abstract: The seal for the spindle (1) of a fitment, such as a valve, consists of a stuffing box (2) and a ductile, elastic sealing-ring (10). The sealing ring is pressed round the spindle by an adjustment (11) in a groove (8) on the inner periphery of a holder-ring (5) surrounding the spindle. The adjustment consists of an adjusting ring (12) placed in a thread (13) on the inner periphery of the holder-ring against the hollow sealing-ring. USE/ADVANTAGE - The seal is for any size of fitment-spindle.
