Abstract: The use of polymers obtained by living free radical polymerisation of one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers using at least one radical polymerisation initiator, in the presence of one or more stable N-oxyl radicals, where at least one stable N-oxyl radical has polymerizable double bonds, for the production of shaped bodies, films fibers, and foams is new. Independent claims are included for: (1) preparation of the polymers as above at a temperature of 80-200 deg C; (2) a polymer prepared as above in which the storage modulus G' and the loss modulus G'' show minimum values at increasing shear frequencies within the shear frequency range 10 1 to 10 3 Hz.
