Abstract: By using urea in the printing and continuous dyeing of cellulose fibres and blends thereof with polyester fibres with violet, blue or blue-green disperse dyes using carriers it is largely possible to avoid dye degradation on fixing with steam at 180 to 200 DEG C. This improves dye yield, reproducibility and fastness properties.
