Abstract: Polishing compsn based on an aq. dispersion of copolymers crosslinked with metal-ions, and which contains >=8 wt. % solids and has pH value 7-11, also contains oxidised polyethylene (O-content is not 2 wt. %) prepd by radical emulsion polymn, m.p. >100 degrees C, mol wt 7000-40000. Claimed polishes have improved solvent resistance; hence impart durable attractive gloss to floors thus treated even in places where presence of solvents tends to have a dulling effect on floor polishes (e.g. factories or offices where spray-cleaners are used).
