1,133,844. Complex of zinc ethylene-bis-dithiocarbamate. BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODAFABRIK A.G. 25 March, 1966 [27 March, 1965], No. 13253/66. Heading C2C. [Also in Division A5] The invention comprises a complex of 1 mol. zinc salt of ethylene-bis-dithiocarbamic acid and 1 mol. ammonia. The complex is preferably made by reacting an aqueous solution of a zinc salt with a water-soluble salt of ethylenebis-dithiocarbamic acid in the presence of about 1 mol. ammonia per mol. zinc salt. The complex can also be prepared by removing 1 mol. ammonia from the known complex of 1 mol. zinc salt of ethylene-bis-dithiocarbamic acid and 2 mol. ammonia by acidification or by stirring an aqueous suspension of the zinc salt of ethylene-bis-dithiocarbamate with aqueous ammonia. The complex is used as a fungicide (see Division A5).
