Abstract: Contact of aromatic compounds (A) with hydroperoxides for catalytic reaction is effected in presence of a compound (B) which is different to (A) and which has a different reactivity with the hydroperoxide. An Independent claim is also included for an integrated process involving: (i) producing the hydroperoxide; and then (ii) contacting it with (A) and (B) as above.
