    Abstract: An index filtration method is disclosed for filtering graft polyol dispersions. The method allows for the rapid filtration of large volumes of graft polyol dispersion in an economical manner. The process can be highly automated. The resulting filtered graft polyol dispersion mainly has particles of 25 microns or smaller and is stable under a variety of conditions for at least 9 weeks.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a micro-prilled poloxamer used specially in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry as a dispersant or solubilizer and a vehicle presenting sustained release properties. SOLUTION: The method for forming a micro-prilled poloxamer comprises using spraying gas at a pressure higher than ordinary pressure, a spraying nozzle at high spraying gas temperature and a high feed temperature for reducing poloxamer viscosity, and optionally, sieving after forming prills in a prilling column. The poloxamer prills are specially used in pharmaceutical preparations, being spherical with a nominal average size of preferably 106 μm or less.     Abstract: The present invention is a method of producing dry, alkali metal or ammonium carboxylic acid salt particles. In accordance with the invention, a molten carboxylic acid is mixed with a solution of an alkali metal-containing or ammonium-containing alkaline compound and the carboxylic acid and alkaline compound are reacted to form the carboxylic acid salt. Water is then removed from the carboxylic acid salt to produce dry, carboxylic acid salt particles. The feed ratio of the molten carboxylic acid and the alkaline compound is controlled to neutralize the carboxylic acid in the process.
