Abstract: The present invention relates to a carrier system for fragrances, to the production thereof and to the use of the carrier system in laundry and cosmetic formulations. Accordingly, the present invention is directed to a microcapsule comprising a core of hydrophobic material composed of at least one fragrance or perfume and a microcapsule shell obtainable by the suspension polymerization of the following monomers: (a) one or more C1-C24-alkyl ester(s) of (meth)acrylic acid (monomer A), (b) one or more bi-or polyfunctional monomers (monomer B) and (c) optionally, one or more other ethylenically unsaturated monomers (monomer C), wherein the shear rate for the preparation of the emulsion lies in the range of from 150 to 500 rpm and the stirring time time for the preparation of the emulsion lies in the range of from 5 min to 180 min.

Abstract: La presente invención se refiere a un sistema portador para fragancias, a su producción y al uso del sistema portador en formulaciones de lavandería y cosméticas. Conforme a ello, la presente invención se refiere a una microcápsula que comprende un núcleo de material hidrofóbico compuesto por al menos una fragancia o perfume y una vaina de microcápsula que se puede obtener por polimerización en suspensión de los siguientes monómeros: (a) uno o varios ésteres de alquilo C1-C24 de ácido (met)acrílico (monómero A), (b) uno o varios monómeros bi- o polifuncionales (monómero B) y (c) opcionalmente, uno o varios otros monómeros etilénicamente insaturados (monómero C), en donde la tasa de cizallamiento para la preparación de la emulsión está en el rango de 150 a 500 rpm y el tiempo de agitación para la preparación de la emulsión está en el rango de 15 min a 180 min.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for producing a microcapsule dispersion comprising microcapsules comprising a hydrophilic capsule core and a capsule wall polymer, wherein a water-in-oil emulsion comprising a hydrophobic diluent as continuous phase, and the hydrophilic capsule core material, a monomer composition and an amphiphilic polymer is produced and then the monomers are free-radically polymerized, where the monomer composition comprises 30 to 100% by weight of one or more monomers selected from C1-C24-alkyl esters of acrylic acid and/or methacrylic acid (monomers I), 0 to 70% by weight of one or more monomers selected from acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, maleic acid, acrylic acid esters and/or methacrylic acid esters which carry hydroxy and/or carboxy groups (monomers II), 0 to 50% by weight of one or more monomers which has two or more ethylenically unsaturated radicals, (monomers III) and 0 to 30% by weight of one or more other monomers (monomers IV), in each case based on the total weight of the monomers, and the amphiphilic polymer is obtainable by free-radical polymerization of a monomer composition comprising at least one ethylenically unsaturated hydrophilic monomer and at least one ethylenically unsaturated hydrophobic monomer, to the microcapsules obtainable thereby, and to their use for the delayed release of active ingredients for construction, cosmetics, detergents and cleaners or crop protection applications.
