Abstract:
The present invention relates to the use of copolymers comprising N-vinylpyrrolidone and a hydrophobically modified acrylic acid derivative as agents for improving the water resistance of a cosmetic formulation, and to the use of these copolymers in sunscreen compositions for increasing the sun protection factor, and furthermore the present invention relates to cosmetic formulations comprising these copolymers.
Abstract:
Disclosed are polymers comprising at least one unit of formula (1), a process for their preparation, intermediates and electronic devices comprising these polymers as semiconducting material.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing polymer blends, which are suited for use as filter aids, from polystyrene and cross-linked water-insoluble polyvinyl pyrrolidones by processing both components in an extruder. The invention is characterized in that polystyrene is melted in an extruder, is then mixed with the polyvinyl pyrrolidone, and water is added to the mixture of the components having 0.1 to 10 % by weight with regard to the total amount of polystyrene and popcorn polymer, whereupon the mixture is extruded and comminuted.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the use of polyvinyl lactame-polyalkylene oxide block copolymers as solubilisers for poorly water-soluble substances.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the use of polymers comprising thermoplastic polymers as filtration aids and/or stabilising agent for the filtration or stabilisation of aqueous liquids.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an ampholytic copolymer, to a method for the production thereof, to cosmetic or pharmaceutical agents containing at least one such ampholytic copolymer, and to other uses of said copolymers.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for removing styrene residual monomers from polystyrene and from blends containing water-insoluble cross-linked polyvinyl pyrrolidone by treating with water. The invention is characterized in that the treatment is carried out on a particle-shaped solid blend.
