Abstract: Preparing a graft copolymer comprises: polymerizing at least a conjugated diene and/or at least a methacrylic acid 1-10C alkyl ester, and optionally further monomers to obtain a graft base; graft copolymerizing at least a further monomer to form a hard polymer and/or a copolymer in presence of the graft base, to form the graft copolymer, which is partially exists in agglomerate form; and reducing the size of the agglomerates by mechanical forces on the graft copolymer to obtain graft copolymer in fine particle form.
