    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide polyisobutene amine which is suitable for blending in a fuel for an Otto engine as a cleaning agent, reduces adhesion to valves and improves compatibility of a cleaning agent with a carrier oil and compatibility in a fuel composition containing mineral fuel ingredients and 1-4C alkanol.SOLUTION: A polybutene amine has a formula of RCH-NRR, where Ris a polyisobutyl group having a number average molecular weight Mof 600 to 770 originated from isobutene and n-butene of up to 20 mass% and Rand Rare independently H, a 1-18C alkyl group, a 2-18C alkenyl group, a 4-18C cycloalkenyl group, a 1-18C alkylaryl group, a hydroxy-(1-18C alkyl) group, a poly(oxyalkyl) group, a polyalkylene polyamine group or a polyalkylene imine group, or Rand R, together with the nitrogen atom to which the group is bonded, constitute a heterocyclic ring.
