Eine Beschichtungszusammensetzung für expandierbare Styrolpolymerisatpartikel, welche (A) 10 bis 90 Gew.-% eines Tristearylesters mit einem Schmelzpunkt im Bereich von 60 bis 65°C, (B) 10 bis 90 Gew.-% eines Tricglycerides einer Hydroxy-C16 bis C18-Ölsäure mit einem Schmelzpunkt im Bereich von 70 bis 95°C enthält, sowie. expandierbare Styrolpolymerisatpartikel, welche mindestens eine Beschichtung aus dieser Beschichtungsmittelzusammensetzung aufweist.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Beschichtungszusammensetzung enthaltend wenigstens einen Vernetzer und eine hydrophobierend wirkende Menge einer siliciumhaltigen Verbindung, damit beschichtete Schaumstoffpartikel sowie daraus hergestellte Schaumstoffformkörper und deren Verwendung.

Disclosed are expandable styrene polymers (EPS) containing, in relation to the styrene polymer, a) 0.05 to 5 percent by weight of an organic bromine compound containing a minimum of 50 percent by weight of bromine as a flameproofing agent, b) 0.05 to 2 percent by weight of a flameproofing synergist, c) 1 to 5 percent by weight of a metallic salt as an acid collector. Also disclosed is a method for producing said expandable styrene polymers.
