Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating machines (10) comprising moving parts and arranged on a common support (32), said machines moving periodically at substantially the same frequency. The phase position of a vibration of a machine (10) in relation to the phase position of a vibration of another machine (10) is controlled by shifting the phase positions in relation to one another, such that the amplitude of a vibration of a structural part, for example the support (32), remains below a pre-determined maximum value.
