Abstract: The present invention relates to a zeolitic material having an AEI-type framework structure comprising SiO2, Al2O3 and B2O3, wherein the Al : B molar ratio of the zeolitic material, is comprised in the range of from 3 to 500, and wherein the zeolitic material displays an Si : (Al+B) molar ratio of the zeolitic material, which is comprised in the range of from 2 to 11. The present invention also relates to a process for the preparation of the zeolitic material according to the present invention, to a process for the treatment of NOx by selective catalytic reduction and to an apparatus for the treatment of a gas stream containing NOx, as well as to the use of a zeolitic material according to the present invention.
