Abstract: The present invention relates to a zeolitic material comprising SiO 2 and Ga 2 O 3 in its framework structure, wherein the zeolitic material comprises one or more metal cations M selected from the group consisting of Sr, Zr, Cr, Mg, Mo, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ru, Rh, Pd, Ag, Os, Ir, Pt, Au, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu, Y, Sc, and mixtures of two or more thereof, wherein the one or more metal cations M are located at the ion-exchange sites of the framework structure of the zeolitic material, wherein the zeolitic material contains 1 wt.-% or less of trivalent elements, calculated as the respective element, other than Ga and other than any trivalent met-al cations among the one or more metal cations M, based on 100 wt. % of Si, calculated as SiO 2 , in the zeolitic material, and furthermore to a method for its production as well as to a process for the treatment of NO x using the inventive zeolitic materials and to an apparatus for the treatment of a gas stream containing NO x , the apparatus containing the inventive zeolitic materials, and finally to the use of the zeolitic materials according to the present invention.
