Abstract: A method for selectively dispensing inventoried items, the method comprising; providing a storage means having an input means for inputting biometric data; the storage means adapted with a lock to unlock upon the inputting of biometric data from an authorised user; providing a wireless unlocking means removably secured in the storage means and capable of transmitting an unlocking signal upon activation by a user; inputting biometric data into the input means from the authorized user thereby unlocking the lock and whereby the user can access the storage means and the wireless unlocking means; providing a secondary storage location having a locking system wirelessly coupled to the wireless unlocking means, the locking system adapted to be selectively unlocked upon receipt of the unlocking signal, wherein the storage means is not adapted to produce the unlocking signal, and wherein the secondary storage location houses at least one inventoried item; activating the wireless unlocking means to transmit an unlocking signal to the locking system thereby unlocking the locking system and permitting the user to access the secondary storage location; and removing an inventoried item from the secondary storage location. The biometric data may comprise fingerprints, hand scans, retina scans, iris scans and/or voice prints.

Abstract: Método para distribuir de manera selectiva artículos inventariados, comprendiendo el método: - proporcionar un medio de almacenamiento (10) provisto de una primera cerradura (30); - proporcionar un medio de apertura sin cables (100) asegurado de manera amovible en el medio de almacenamiento (10) y que puede transmitir como mínimo una señal de desbloqueo cuando lo activa el usuario; - abrir la primera cerradura (30), con lo cual el usuario puede acceder al medio de almacenamiento (10) y al medio de apertura sin cables (100); - proporcionar un lugar de almacenamiento secundario (200) que tiene un sistema de cierre (210) acoplado sin cables con el medio de apertura sin cables (100), estando el sistema de cierre (210) adaptado para poder desbloquearlo de manera selectiva al recibir una primera señal de desbloqueo, lugar de almacenamiento secundario (200) que dispone de una pluralidad de subcompartimentos con al menos un subcompartimento que aloja como mínimo un artículo inventariado y al menosun subcompartimento con una segunda cerradura que activa el medio de apertura sin cables (100) para transmitir la señal de desbloqueo al sistema de cierre (210) desbloqueando así el sistema de cierre (210) y permitiendo al usuario acceder a los subcompartimentos del lugar de almacenamiento secundario (200); - abrir la segunda cerradura y autorizar al usuario el acceso como mínimo a un subcompartimento y al artículo o artículos inventariados que hay en su interior; y - retirar un artículo inventariado del lugar de almacenamiento secundario.
