The present invention provides a polymer composition having: a first component selected from homopolymers and copolymers of cyclic olefin containing polymers and bridged polycyclic hydrocarbon containing polymers, the first component being present in an amount from about 1-99% by weight of the composition; and a second component is selected from homopolymers and copolymers of a diene having from 4 to 12 carbons, the second component being present in an amount from about 99% to about 1% by weight of the composition.

A polymer blend for fabricating medical products such as a tubing for an infusion pump are disclosed, wherein the polymer blend comprises: a first 1,2 polybutadiene present from about 1% to about 99% by weight of the blend and having a first melting point temperature; and a second 1,2 polybutadiene present from about 1% to about 99% by weight of the blend and having a second melting point temperature higher than the first melting point temperature and not greater than 120 Deg C. The medical devices or products made from these polybutadiene polymer blends may be sterilized by exposing the medical devices to a sterilizing radiation from about 15kGys to about 45kGys.

1.- Una mezcla de polímeros, para fabricar productos médicos, que comprende:un primer 1,2 polibutadieno, presente en de aproximadamente 1% a aproximadamente 99 por ciento en peso de la mezcla, y que tiene una temperatura de primer punto de fusión; y un segundo 1,2 polibutadieno, presente en de aproximadamente 1% a aproximadamente 99% en peso de la mezcla, y que tiene una temperatura de segundo punto de fusión que es superior a la temperatura del primer punto de fusión.2.- La mezcla de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1, en la cual la temperatura de primer punto de fusión es inferior a aproximadamente 100 grados centígrados.3.- La mezcla de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1, en la cual la temperatura de primer punto de fusión es inferior a aproximadamente 90 centígrados. 4.- La mezcla de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1, en la cual el primer 1,2 polibutadieno es un primer 1,2 polibutadieno sindiotáctico.5.- La mezcla de acuerdo con la reivindicación 4, en la cual el primer 1,2 polibutadieno es un 1,2 polibutadieno sindiotáctico de baja cristalinidad. 6.- La mezcla de acuerdo con la reivindicación 4, en la cual el segundo 1,2 polibutadieno es un segundo 1,2 polibutadieno sindiotáctico.7.- La mezcla de acuerdo con la reivindicación 6, en la cual el segundo 1,2 polibutadieno sindiotáctico es un segundo 1,2 polibutadieno sindiotáctico de baja cristalinidad.
