Abstract: A blood processing assembly (10) includes a centrifuge container (12) within a heated housing or chamber. A fail safe spill or splash detector (30) is located within the inner wall of the housing. The detector includes a pair of parallel electrodes (32, 34) separated from each other by a small gap. The circuit detects a splash or droplet of liquid which conduct current between the electrodes.
